What people have said about us:
“&Beyond is filling a much needed gap in our industry by supporting working parents and guiding companies on best practices. Jess and Takako have the necessary expertise and facilitation skills to deliver impactful training and coaching opportunities and have helped us make great progress on this topic at The Trade Desk. I would highly recommend a partnership with &Beyond for any organization looking to improve inclusion and retention.” Callie Strickland, The Tradedesk
“Working with &Beyond on our recent session for working parents was a brilliant way to raise awareness of the challenges working parents face, and was a brilliant first step in our journey to build a more inclusive culture for working parents. They expertly mixed statistics, real stories, and humour to engage and enlighten us. They expertly chaired a panel made up of parents from across our business, to highlight real challenges and sparked important conversations.
&Beyond brings genuine care and deep expertise to the table. We’re eager to see how our partnership evolves in 2024—they’re truly in a league of their own!” Caroline Moffat, Starcom, as part of our work for Publicis Groupe, UK
”Working with Takako on deeply personal and important themes has proved immensely fruitful. The tenor, texture and content of our talks keep coming back, and the eye-opening experience this has led to could turn out to be life-changing.” Agency Sales Lead
“Jess was able to help change my whole perspective on returning to work after maternity leave. Having been made redundant, while heavily pregnant during a global pandemic threw all my career plans up in the air and it was overwhelming thinking about my next step. I got in touch with Jess and she understood where I was coming from and helped me to see what was most important to me in my working life. After that time with Jess, I was so motivated to get going with my new plan that I smashed all the goals we had set within just a few weeks.” Planning Director
The transition back into work after having a child can be so much bigger than what any of us expect it to be. Everything seems the same, and yet everything is different.
For women going back...You want to pick up where you left off, but somehow your confidence isn’t quite where it used to be and it can feel very lonely. There are internal conflicts around your priorities that don't fit with your previous working style. And you start to wonder whether you can actually have it all.
For organisations...we know you want to support women coming back to work in the best way possible. But somehow, amidst the busy-ness of work, the support doesn’t feel quite enough. And maybe, you start to see women dropping out of the career trajectory that you once saw them on, or see them dropping out all together.
We get it, we’ve been there - as employees as well as line managers trying to support women coming back from maternity. And we’ve coached so many women going through the same dilemma going back into the workplace after the life changing experience of having a baby.
Our Fatherhood Gap Report
Thanks to the all the dads that filled out our working dads survey, and the research that’s out there already, we’ve put together a really digestible report on The Fatherhood Gap, along with recommendations on what you and your organisation should do to support working dads, and therefore all working parents.
